Terms of service

Last updated: 25 September 2026

1. Who we are

Sort A Brick is a service operated by Br1ck, UAB, a company registered in Lithuania, registration number 306328284, with its registered office at Terminalo g. 3, Biruliškių k., LT-54469 Kauno r., Lithuania, and its office at J. Jasinskio g. 16, LT-03163 Vilnius, Lithuania.

In these terms, "Sort A Brick", "we" and "us" mean Br1ck, UAB. "You" means the person who places an order with us or sells us their LEGO® parts.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to everything you do with us on www.sortabrick.com:

  • Refurbished sets (Part A): sets we put together from used LEGO® parts. We clean, complete and check them, and you buy them from us.
  • Set restoration service (Part B): you send us your own LEGO® parts, and we sort them back into sets and return them to you.
  • Selling your LEGO® parts (Part C): you sell us your used LEGO® parts and minifigures.

Sections 1 to 3 and Part D apply to all three.

The version of these terms in force when you place your order or send your selling request applies to it. Our shop and services are meant for consumers, meaning private individuals acting for private purposes.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are in euro and include VAT.

When you buy from us, the payment methods available to you are shown when you pay. Payments are processed by our payment providers. Card and bank details are entered directly with them, and we never see or store full card numbers.

When you sell us your LEGO® parts, we pay you. How this works is described in section 18.

Part A: Buying refurbished sets

4. What a refurbished set is

A refurbished set is a complete-for-building LEGO® set put together from used LEGO® parts. We buy used LEGO® parts, clean them, sort them into sets that match the original parts list, add any missing parts, and check each set before offering it to you.

A refurbished set is not a new product. This means:

  • Most parts are pre-loved and may show normal signs of use: small scratches, slight discolouration or differences in colour tone, wear on printed parts, and slightly looser connections on some minifigure parts.
  • Stickers are not included.
  • The original box, the original numbered bags and printed building instructions are not included. The set comes in Sort A Brick packaging, with access to digital building instructions.
  • If we could not find an identical original part, we may use a genuine LEGO® part that fits the build and does the same job, but is not exactly identical. A generic minifigure may be replaced with a similar one. We always show such replacements on the product page.
  • Some parts may arrive already connected, for example a window frame with its glass or a wheel with its tyre.

Each set's product page describes its condition and shows photos of the actual parts you are buying. Photos of the built model may be reused for identical sets and can differ slightly from the set you receive.

The description above is what you and we agree the set to be.

5. How your order becomes a contract

  1. You choose a set, add it to your bag and enter your details in the checkout.
  2. Before you submit, you see a summary of your order and can make corrections if needed.
  3. By clicking the order button and paying, you make a binding offer to buy the sets in your bag.
  4. We accept your offer by sending you an order confirmation by email. From that moment the contract is concluded.

We send you your order details by email.

If, in an exceptional case, a set you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we tell you right away and refund your payment in full.

6. Delivery

We ship to all EU countries. Shipping costs are shown in the checkout once you enter your delivery address, before you place your order.

We send your order within 3 to 5 business days after your payment is confirmed. If something delays your order, we tell you by email.

The set remains our property until it is paid in full.

7. Returns

You can return a set within 30 days of delivery, as long as it is unopened. These 30 days are your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal plus 16 extra days that we give you voluntarily.

Unopened means the set's own packaging is still sealed. You may take the set out of the shipping box, but do not open its packaging. If we see that a set has been opened, we cannot guarantee a refund.

Each refurbished set is sold as one product. Accordingly, you can return the set as a whole only, not individual parts within it.

How to return a set. Write to hello@sortabrick.com, and we send you a return label. At the moment we cover the cost of sending the set back. Further details, including the model withdrawal form, are in our Withdrawal Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. If something isn't right with your set

If a part is missing or something else isn't right with your set, write to us at hello@sortabrick.com. We will do our best to fix it.

This comes on top of your statutory rights. If a set does not match the description in section 4 and on its product page, the statutory warranty rights apply for two years from delivery. Normal signs of use described in section 4 are not a defect.

Part B: Set restoration service

9. Waiting list

At the moment the restoration service is at full capacity, and we do not accept new orders. You can join our waiting list, and we will let you know when we can take on your collection.

Joining the waiting list is free and does not oblige you or us to anything. A contract is only concluded when you place an order after our invitation.

10. How it works

The service has three steps. Step 1, analysis and grouping, is always included. Steps 2 and 3, sorting to sets and sourcing missing parts, are optional. You decide on them after you receive your report.

  1. Order. When your turn on the waiting list comes, we invite you to place your order.
  2. Pickup. We send you a pickup form where you choose the day that suits you. A few days before that day, we email you the courier's shipping label, and the courier collects the parcel from your address. At the moment we work with DHL.
  3. Arrival and first payment. When your parcel arrives, we weigh your LEGO® parts without the shipping packaging. You pay for Step 1 based on this weight, and we start once your payment is received.
  4. Step 1: Analysis and grouping. We clean and analyse your parts and send you a Set Matching Report: which sets can be restored from your parts, and which parts are missing.
  5. Your choice and second payment. You decide whether you want us to sort your collection into sets, and whether we should source the missing parts for those sets. You pay for what you choose before we continue. If there are sets you do not want to restore, we offer to buy their parts from you at market price.
  6. Steps 2 and 3: Sorting to sets and sourcing missing parts. We sort your parts into the sets you chose and pack each set separately. If you chose sourcing missing parts, we buy them from online marketplaces and add them to your sets. For older sets we cannot always find parts from the same year. If a part is still produced today, we may use the current version.
  7. Return shipment. We send your sets back with a tracking number.

If you decide not to continue after Step 1, we group your parts by colour and size and send them back together with your report.

We handle each order separately. Your parts are never mixed with anyone else's.

11. What you can send us

We accept regular LEGO® and LEGO® Technic parts, LEGO® minifigures and LEGO® electronic parts.

Please do not send:

  • batteries (please remove them from LEGO® electronic parts before sending),
  • broken or heavily soiled parts,
  • parts, elements or toys from other brands.

If we find items we do not support, we pack them separately and return them with your order. As handling them takes extra work, we charge the standard sorting fee based on their weight.

12. Prices, shipping and processing times

Prices for each step, two-way shipping costs and processing times are shown on our Restore page at the time you order.

You are responsible for packing your collection safely. We send you packing instructions together with your shipping label.

If a step takes longer than stated, we tell you by email.

13. Changing your mind

You can change your mind until you make the first payment. If you have not sent your parcel yet, this costs nothing. If your parcel is already with us, we send it back and you pay the return shipping.

Once you have made the first payment, we start Step 1, and the order can no longer be cancelled. After Step 1 you can still decide not to order Steps 2 and 3.

Your statutory right of withdrawal is described in our Withdrawal Policy.

14. What we can and cannot promise

We restore as many sets as your parts allow. We cannot promise a specific number of sets, or that every set in your collection can be identified or restored. When several sets fit your collection, we prioritise sets with fewer missing parts, larger sets, and using as many of your parts as possible.

Part C: Selling your LEGO® parts to us

15. Who can sell to us

We buy used LEGO® parts and minifigures from private individuals in selected countries.

At the moment we are at full capacity and do not accept new selling requests. You can join our waiting list, and we will let you know when we can take your parts. Joining is free and does not oblige you or us to anything.

16. How it works

  1. Request. When we invite you, you fill in the selling form on our website with your name, contact details, the approximate weight of your LEGO® parts and a photo of them.
  2. Pickup. Within 1 business day, we email you a prepaid shipping label, and the courier collects the parcel from your address. At the moment we work with DHL Express. Please pack your parcel securely. We send you packing instructions together with your shipping label.
  3. Arrival and first payment. When your parcel arrives, we weigh it without the shipping packaging and transfer 50% of the amount within 1 business day.
  4. Inventory. We take inventory of your parts and determine the actual weight of the original LEGO® parts and minifigures. We tell you by email how long this takes.
  5. Report. You receive a report with the results and the final purchase price.
  6. Purchase and sale agreement. You sign the purchase and sale agreement electronically (section 19).
  7. Second payment. Within 1 business day after you sign, we transfer the rest of the amount.

17. What we buy

We buy original LEGO® parts and LEGO® minifigures.

We do not buy LEGO® DUPLO®, parts from other brands, broken parts, packaging or building instructions.

If we find items we do not buy in your parcel, we dispose of them and do not send them back. If you want them back, tell us in writing before you send your parcel. In that case you pay the return shipping.

18. Price and payment

The purchase price depends on the weight of the original LEGO® parts and minifigures in your parcel. The prices per kilogram are shown on our website. The prices in force when you send your request apply to it.

We pay in two parts:

  • First payment (50%), based on the total weight of your parcel without the shipping packaging. We transfer it within 1 business day after your parcel arrives.
  • Second payment (the rest), based on the actual weight of the original LEGO® parts and minifigures after inventory. We transfer it within 1 business day after you sign the purchase and sale agreement.

If the actual weight turns out lower than the total weight of your parcel, the second payment is reduced accordingly. We never ask you to return the first payment.

We pay only by SEPA bank transfer to the IBAN you give us in the form.

19. Purchase and sale agreement

Before the second payment, we sign a written purchase and sale agreement with you. For this we need additional identification data: your date of birth if you live in Germany, or your personal identification number if you live in Lithuania. You sign electronically. Without your signature we cannot make the second payment.

How we handle this data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

20. Changing your mind

You can change your mind until we make the first payment. If you have not sent your parcel yet, this costs nothing. If your parcel is already with us, we send it back and you pay the return shipping.

Once we have made the first payment, the process has started and your parts can no longer be returned. After you sign the purchase and sale agreement and receive the second payment, the sale is final.

This does not limit any statutory consumer rights that apply to you.

Part D: General terms

21. Liability

We are liable in accordance with the statutory provisions.

22. Parcels in transport

When you send us your LEGO® parts, we book the shipment with the carrier. From the moment the courier collects your parcel, we manage the shipment and handle all contact with the carrier.

If a parcel is delayed, lost or damaged, we see it on our side, take care of it with the carrier and keep you informed. The carrier is responsible for the parcel during transport, and any compensation follows the carrier's terms.

23. Intellectual property

All content on www.sortabrick.com (texts, images, logos and layout) belongs to Br1ck, UAB or to licensed third parties. You may not copy or share it without our written permission.

Sort A Brick is an independent company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by the LEGO Group. LEGO®, the LEGO® logo, Minifigure and DUPLO® are trademarks of the LEGO Group.

24. Privacy

How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

25. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country.

We do not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, and we are not obliged to. If something isn't right, write to us at hello@sortabrick.com and we'll solve it directly.

26. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future orders and selling requests. The version in force when you placed your order or sent your request always applies to it. The current version is always available on this page, and we tell you about material changes by email.
